I hear a lot that people enjoy seeing what I consider my half way point in my peices so I'll post them more often.

SciFi alphabet.

My first assignment for my special topics illustration class was to create 26 unique illustrations for each letter of the alphabet with a scifi theme. The deadline was very short and seemed quite daunting. The requirements were;

square compostition ( no smaller than 3''x3'' )
each letter had to be obvious

I created my own alphabet based on earlier versions of braille.
Granted I took a more conceptual route I think my new alphabet works quite well.
